Southern Gateway Regeneration
The Southern Gateway is a 126-hectare regeneration initiative situated south of Bradford city centre, serving as a cornerstone of the district's 2025 to 2035 growth strategy. The project aims to transform industrial and brownfield land into a mixed-use district, potentially delivering up to 5,000 new homes alongside new employment, retail, and leisure spaces. The scheme is fundamentally linked to major transport infrastructure, including a proposed new city centre rail station as part of the Northern Powerhouse Rail programme and a planned Leeds to Bradford tram line via the West Yorkshire Mass Transit system.

Bradford City Village
Bradford City Village is a flagship mixed-use regeneration project transforming the city's former commercial core into a sustainable residential neighbourhood. Following planning approval in February 2026, the project has entered its delivery phase with the formal appointment of Incommunities as the funding and delivery partner for Phase 1. The scheme aims to deliver up to 1,000 energy-efficient homes, including townhouses and apartments, alongside new public green spaces, retail, and leisure facilities across the Kirkgate, Oastler, and Chain Street sites.
