Royal Armouries Waterfront Project
The Royal Armouries Waterfront project is a key component of the Leeds South Bank regeneration, centred on the redevelopment of the museum's Tiltyard into a major riverside cultural, events, and conferencing destination. Supported by the Leeds City Fund, a 25-year business rates retention scheme, the project aims to deliver approximately 3,500 sq m of flexible event space and 4,500 sq m of new public realm. The initiative, which also includes potential for a 150-key hotel, is designed to enhance the city's event capacity and act as a catalyst for wider economic growth in the South Bank area.

Leeds Mayoral Development Zone (MDZ)
The Leeds Mayoral Development Zone (MDZ) is a strategic delivery framework proposed to accelerate regeneration across Leeds city centre and the South Bank. By formalising a partnership between Leeds City Council, the West Yorkshire Combined Authority, Homes England, and central government, the MDZ aims to coordinate land assembly, infrastructure investment, and planning to support the delivery of approximately 20,000 new homes and significant commercial growth. The initiative remains a key focus for regional development, with ongoing efforts to align it with wider economic visions and specific site-level projects.
