Mixed-use regenerationCity Centre North
City Centre North is a long-term regeneration project led by Portsmouth City Council to transform the northern gateway of the city, including the former Tricorn and Sainsbury's sites. Following a successful market engagement process, the council has formalised its intent to partner with the English Cities Fund (ECF) to enter into a Development Management Services Agreement (DMSA). This partnership will focus on developing a business case and delivery strategy, with the aim of commencing construction by 2029. The masterplan, which secured planning permission in 2023, aims to provide up to 2,300 homes, significant commercial space, and extensive public green infrastructure.
