Liverpool’s average house price stood at £185,307 in June 2026, according to the UK House Price Index. That is up 0.5% on the month and 7.2% higher than a year earlier.
Prices are now well above the level seen in June 2025, when the average was £172,911.
Liverpool’s average private rent stood at £909 in July 2026, according to the ONS Price Index of Private Rents. That was up by £4 from June’s £905.
It is a modest month-on-month rise of 0.4%, but it keeps the city on a steady upward path.
Liverpool’s latest ONS and Nomis labour-market profile points to a city with a large resident base and a pay level below the Great Britain average. The resident population is 507,915.
