Greater London’s average private rent stood at £2,294 in May 2026, according to the ONS Price Index of Private Rents. That is up by £4 from April, a monthly rise of 0.17%.
The annual increase was 2.04%, so rents are still rising, but at a much steadier pace than a year ago.
