Exeter’s average house price stood at £280,982 in June 2026, according to the UK House Price Index. That is down 0.8% on the month and 1.7% lower than a year earlier.
Prices are still above the £280,000 mark, but the latest reading shows a softer market than a year ago.
Exeter’s private rent market edged higher again in July 2026, according to the ONS Price Index of Private Rents. The average rent reached £1,320 a month.
That is up from £1,317 in June, so the monthly change was a small rise of 0.25%.
