Private rents in the East of England stood at an average of £1,280 in May 2026, according to the ONS Price Index of Private Rents. That was up by £2 from April, a monthly rise of 0.2%.
It also left rents 3.6% higher than a year earlier, based on the ONS private rent statistics.
