City of Westminster’s latest UK House Price Index reading for June 2026 shows an average property price of £854,198. That is up 1.0% on May, when the average was £845,825.
The monthly rise is modest, but it does extend a short recovery after the softer spring period. The annual picture is still weak.
Private rents in the City of Westminster averaged £3,179 in July 2026, according to the ONS Price Index of Private Rents. That is up from £3,168 in June, a monthly rise of 0.4%.
Over the year, though, rents are still lower than in July 2025, when the average was £3,244.
