What the latest official data may mean for buyers, renters and investors.
West Northamptonshire’s average house price stood at £292,754 in June 2026, according to the UK House Price Index. That was down 0.3% from May, when the average was £293,565.
Even so, prices remain higher than a year ago, with annual growth at 2.5%.
Private rents in West Northamptonshire averaged £1,078 in July 2026, according to the ONS Price Index of Private Rents. That was up £3 on the month, after June’s £1,075 average.
The monthly rise was modest, but it shows rents are still edging higher rather than flattening out. The annual picture remains firmly positive too.
