Thurrock’s average house price stood at £327,176 in June 2026, according to the UK House Price Index. That is down 0.5% on the month, after a 0.9% fall in May.
Even with that softer June reading, prices remain above last year’s level.
Thurrock’s private rental market continued to edge higher in July 2026, according to the ONS Price Index of Private Rents. The average rent reached £1,375 a month.
That is up £3 from June, which means a modest month-on-month rise of 0.2%. The annual picture is still stronger than the monthly one, although growth has slowed.
Thurrock’s labour market profile from ONS and Nomis points to a local income base that is a little stronger than the Great Britain average, but with a slightly softer jobs picture in some measures.
