Rochford’s average house price stood at £415,574 in June 2026, according to the UK House Price Index. That was up 1.2% on the month, adding about £4,800 to the typical price compared with May.
Prices were also 6.2% higher than a year earlier, showing that annual growth remains firmly positive.
Rochford’s latest private rent figure from the ONS Price Index of Private Rents shows an average monthly rent of £1,298 in July 2026. That is up by £1 from June, so the monthly move was a very small 0.04%.
Rents are still moving higher, but the pace is modest at the headline level.
Rochford’s labour market profile points to a relatively well-paid resident base. ONS and Nomis data show median resident weekly pay of £864.90 in Apr 2025 to Mar 2026, which annualises to £44,975.
