North Somerset’s housing market continued to edge higher in June 2026. The latest UK House Price Index puts the average price at £314,628.
That is up 0.5% on May, when the average was £313,165. The yearly picture is stronger still.
Prices are 7.5% higher than in June 2025, when the average stood at £292,809.
North Somerset’s average private rent stood at £1,205 in July 2026, according to the ONS Price Index of Private Rents. That was up by £4 from June, a monthly rise of 0.34%.
Over the year, rents were 3.35% higher than in July 2025, when the average was £1,166.
North Somerset’s latest ONS and Nomis labour-market profile points to a relatively strong local earnings and employment picture, set against a large resident base. The 2025 resident population was 227,160, so these figures reflect a substantial local workforce and a wide pool of households competing for homes.
