Lichfield’s average house price stood at £335,981 in April 2026, according to the UK House Price Index. That was down 0.5% on March, when the average was £337,756.
The latest move shows a small monthly dip after a stronger rise the month before. On an annual basis, prices were still higher than a year earlier.
Private rents in Lichfield continued to edge up in May 2026, according to the ONS Price Index of Private Rents. The average rent reached £1,096.
That is up from £1,094 in April, a monthly rise of 0.2%. The annual picture is still stronger than the month-to-month move suggests.
Lichfield’s latest ONS/Nomis labour-market profile points to a comparatively strong resident earnings picture. In ASHE 2025, the median weekly pay for residents working full time was £862.40.
That is above the Great Britain median of £766.60. On an annualised basis, resident median pay was £44,845, compared with £39,863 across Great Britain.
