According to the UK House Price Index, the average house price in the Isle of Wight stood at £238,239 in April 2026. That was down 0.6% from March, when the average was £239,691.
It also means values are 1.6% lower than a year earlier, compared with £242,120 in April 2025.
The latest ONS Price Index of Private Rents data for the Isle of Wight shows an average monthly rent of £946 in May 2026. That is up from £943 in April, a month-on-month rise of 0.3%.
Rents are also 8.0% higher than a year earlier, when the average was £876.
Isle of Wight’s labour market picture shows a relatively large resident population for a coastal island economy, with 141,660 people recorded in 2024.
