Harborough’s latest UK House Price Index reading shows an average house price of £345,848 in June 2026. That is slightly lower than May, when the average was £346,868.
The monthly movement was -0.3%, so prices eased back after a stronger spring. The bigger picture is still one of solid annual growth.
Harborough’s average private rent stood at £963 in July 2026, according to the ONS Price Index of Private Rents. That was up by £1 from June, so the month-on-month move was modest at 0.1%.
The annual rise was 2.9%, which shows rents are still increasing, but at a relatively steady pace.
Harborough’s latest ONS/Nomis labour-market picture points to a relatively strong local earnings and employment base. The city had a resident population of 106,577 in 2025, giving the labour market a sizeable local context.
