Halton’s latest UK House Price Index data shows an average house price of £193,435 in April 2026. That is down 2.3% on March, when the average was £197,990.
Even with that monthly dip, prices remain higher than a year ago. The annual change stands at 5.8%.
Halton’s latest ONS Price Index of Private Rents shows an average monthly rent of £738 in May 2026. That is up from £735 in April, so rents rose by 0.5% month on month.
The annual increase was 6.9%, which means rents were £47 higher than in May 2025, when the average was £691.
