Forest of Dean’s average house price stood at £290,398 in April 2026, according to the UK House Price Index. That is up by 1.0% on March, when the average was £287,416.
It also means prices have risen modestly over the month, after a softer patch earlier in the year.
Forest of Dean’s average private rent stood at £823 in May 2026, according to the ONS Price Index of Private Rents. That was unchanged from April.
On a monthly basis, the market was essentially flat, with a very small fall of 0.03%. The annual picture is still one of growth, but the pace has cooled.
