Fareham’s latest UK House Price Index reading for April 2026 puts the average property price at £325,771. That is down 1.2% from March and 0.4% lower than a year ago.
The market has softened a little in the most recent update, but prices remain broadly around the same level seen over the past 12 months.
Fareham’s average private rent stood at £1,213 in May 2026, according to the ONS Price Index of Private Rents. That was up from £1,209 in April, so rents rose by £4 over the month.
The monthly increase was 0.32%, which is slightly firmer than the 0.28% rise recorded in April.
Fareham’s labour market profile points to a relatively strong local earnings and employment base. The ONS/Nomis Annual Population Survey shows a resident employment rate of 87.1%, which is well above the Great Britain figure of 75.5%.
