It also puts prices 1.7% above April 2025, when the average was £215,853.
East Riding of Yorkshire’s average private rent stood at £721 in May 2026, according to the ONS Price Index of Private Rents. That was up from £717 in April, so rents rose by 0.5% month on month.
The annual rise was 5.1%, compared with £686 a year earlier.
