Ealing market commentary
What the latest official data may mean for buyers, renters and investors.
Ealing’s average house price stood at £575,814 in June 2026, according to the UK House Price Index. That is up 1.3% on the month, so prices recovered after May’s softer 0.6% rise.
Even so, the market remains below last year’s level, with an annual change of -2.7%.
Ealing’s average private rent reached £2,085 in July 2026, according to the ONS Price Index of Private Rents. That is up from £2,067 in June, so rents rose by £18 in the month.
The monthly move was 0.9%, showing another step higher after a series of smaller gains through the spring.
Ealing’s labour market picture points to a large and relatively well-paid resident base. The city’s resident population was 387,072 in 2025, giving a sizeable local workforce and a broad pool of households with different income levels and housing needs.
