What the latest official data may mean for buyers, renters and investors.
Cotswold’s average house price stood at £411,764 in June 2026, according to the UK House Price Index. That is up 0.5% on May, when the average was £409,677.
It also means prices were 3.2% higher than in June 2025, showing annual growth remains positive, even if it has eased from recent months.
Cotswold’s average private rent stood at £1,248 in July 2026, according to the ONS Price Index of Private Rents. That was slightly lower than June’s £1,251, so rents fell by 0.2% month on month.
It is a small move, but it does show a pause after several months of stronger growth earlier in the year.
Cotswold’s latest ONS/Nomis labour-market picture points to a relatively strong resident earnings base. The median full-time worker living in the area earns £811 a week, or £42,172 a year on an annualised basis, according to ASHE 2026.
That is above the Great Britain median of £766.60 a week and £39,863 a year.
