What the latest official data may mean for buyers, renters and investors.
According to the latest UK House Price Index for Cotswold, the average home price in April 2026 was £390,591. That is slightly lower than March’s £391,605, a monthly fall of 0.3%.
Prices are also down 1.2% compared with April 2025, when the average was £395,257.
ONS private rent statistics show that the average monthly rent in Cotswold reached £1,255 in May 2026. That is slightly lower than April, when the average was £1,262.
The monthly move was a fall of 0.6%, according to the ONS Price Index of Private Rents.
Cotswold’s labour market profile shows a relatively strong resident earnings and employment picture. According to ONS and Nomis, using Annual Population Survey data and ASHE resident earnings, the local median weekly pay for full-time employees was £811 in 2025.
That is above the Great Britain median of £766.60.
