Castle Point’s average house price stood at £363,997 in April 2026, according to the UK House Price Index. That is down 0.8% from March, when the average was £367,053.
The latest move suggests a modest monthly pullback after a relatively steady start to the year. Even so, prices remain higher than a year ago.
Castle Point’s average private rent reached £1,249 in May 2026, according to the ONS Price Index of Private Rents. That is up £8 from April’s £1,241.
The monthly rise was 0.6%, so rents continued to edge higher, but at a fairly measured pace. The annual picture is still stronger.
Castle Point had a resident population of 90,581 in 2024, so this is a sizeable local labour market, but one that is still much smaller than Great Britain overall.
