Ashfield’s average house price stood at £190,024 in June 2026, according to the UK House Price Index. That is up by 1.1% on May, when the average was £188,000.
It also leaves prices 3.2% higher than a year earlier. The monthly picture has improved after a softer May.
Ashfield’s private rental market continued to edge up in July 2026, according to the ONS Price Index of Private Rents. The average rent now stands at £793 a month.
That is up from £790 in June, a monthly rise of 0.45%. The annual picture is firmer still.
Ashfield’s resident labour market shows a mixed but fairly steady picture. The area had a resident population of 130,581 in 2025, so these figures reflect a sizeable local workforce and a broad base of households looking for homes to rent or buy.
